Plans are underway to build an alternative route for the undersea cable via Mutukula in Tanzania to evade the persistent internet cable breakdown in Kenya that affects Uganda.
According to the Director for Technical Services at National Information Technology Authority Uganda (NITA-U) Mr. Peter Kahiigi, the government will embark on building the alternative route starting in November.
